Pre-paid wallet
Every LLM call your agents make debits the wallet. Top up in packs, set a per-period spending cap, and turn on auto-top-up so the wallet refills itself before it runs dry.

Pricing follows the underlying provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) plus a 20% platform markup that covers gateway, telemetry, and infra. The raw cost and markup are recorded on every ledger row so you can audit it.
New accounts start with $5 in trial credits — enough to put a few agents through their paces before you decide.
Frequently asked questions
- What's a credit?
- One credit = one US dollar of wallet balance, tracked at micro-dollar precision so we never round you. Your agents debit credits as they run; the dashboard shows what every dollar bought.
- What's the platform markup?
- We add 20% on top of raw provider cost. That covers the gateway, observability, retry/backoff, and the rest of the plumbing that keeps your agents running. The markup is logged on every ledger row.
- Can I cap my spend?
- Yes. Set a per-billing-period cap in Settings → Billing. We'll freeze new agent work the moment the cap trips and unfreeze on period rollover (or when you raise the cap).
- Auto-top-up?
- Optional. Pick a balance threshold and a refill amount; we off-session charge the saved card the moment the balance dips. Failed charges flip the wallet to "card declined" and surface a banner so you can update the card before anything else stops.
- What happens if I run out?
- Agents stop running. A red banner appears across the app with a Top-up button that takes you to Stripe Checkout. Existing tasks resume the moment credits land.
- Bring your own keys?
- Yes — point Pencil at your own gateway with your own provider keys. You still pay the per-seat fee but the credit wallet becomes optional.
